The City of Lafayette runs the library at 775 West Baseline Road, open Monday to Thursday 10 am to 8 pm, Friday and Saturday 10 to 5 and Sunday 1 to 5. Its closures for the rest of 2026, from its hours page: Veterans Day, November 11; a 5 pm close on November 25 and closed on Thanksgiving and the day after; an early close at 1 pm on December 9; closed December 24 and 25; a 5 pm close on December 31; and closed January 1, 2027.
Beyond books it lends a Library of Things (sewing-machine kits, birding kits, memory kits, Wi-Fi hotspots) and museum passes, and its Studio 775 Makerspace has drop-in hours four days a week. The storytimes run most weekday mornings at 10:30 and Saturdays. The library’s own calendar is at lafayettepubliclibrary.libcal.com. Outside, at the north end of the parking lot, is a Boulder County 24-hour ballot drop box.
