“Celebrate our Thanksgiving role models by joining us for a walk along Coal Creek,” the City’s listing says: an hour on Saturday, November 14, from 1 to 2 pm, on the wild turkeys that live along the creek, their behavior and adaptations and their place in the ecosystem. Register through the City’s Engage site, which puts the meeting point at Coal Creek and Elysian Field Drive. The City’s Open Space program follows it with a winter plant-identification walk from the same spot on December 13.
