The City’s project team, with its design and construction partners, gives a public update on the recreation center renovation on Monday, November 9, at 6:30 pm in the library’s meeting room; the program starts at 6:45. On the agenda, per the City calendar: an introduction to the construction team, design concepts for the new aquatics amenities, the project timeline, and the construction impacts visitors should expect. The project is funded by the $40 million general obligation bond voters approved in November 2025 (Ballot Measure 2C); the City’s Lafayette Listens page puts the recreation center’s share at $34 million, with design through April 2027 and 18 to 24 months of construction starting in 2027.
