A ceremony at the northeast corner of the Lafayette Cemetery on Friday, November 6, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, “honoring those buried in the unmarked graves at the Lafayette Cemetery,” in the City calendar’s words. The cemetery’s north side was its potter’s field, and the Lafayette Historical Society’s research by Frank Archuleta and Doug Conarroe has identified nearly 200 people buried there with no marker and no entry in the City’s record; a bilingual bronze plaque naming the burials was approved by City Council in 2025, and the society’s list of names was last updated in July 2026. The City’s calendar listing gives the cemetery’s address as 111 W Baseline Road in one place and 111 E Baseline Road in another; the City’s cemetery page uses West.
